Loyalty and Endurance

Sam’s greatest strength is his unwavering dedication to Frodo. He carries nearly all their supplies, climbs treacherous terrain, and drags Frodo up Mount Doom when the Ringbearer collapses. Tolkien emphasizes that Sam’s love for Frodo—and his stubborn hobbit stubbornness—fuels his endurance. The Phial of Galadriel

Given to Frodo but wielded by Sam, the Phial contains light from the star Eärendil, a gift from the Elves.
