The Raven: How I Embrace Change

Change is not always welcomed, but it is inevitable. I, the Raven, have watched the world shift beneath my wings—kingdoms rise and fall, seasons turn in endless cycles, and mortals struggle with their own transformations. I do not fear change. I observe it, reflect it, and sometimes, I whisper its arrival.

## The Ticking of the Clock

Time does not move forward in straight lines—it spirals, loops, and repeats. I have seen this in the lives of men who chase power only to lose it, who seek love only to destroy it. When I perch near the hourglass, I do not see sand falling—I see moments collapsing into one another. One king’s triumph becomes another’s ruin. A lover’s vow becomes a ghost of itself. I do not interfere. I merely watch, and in watching, I accept the turning of the wheel.

## The Mirror of Madness

Change often arrives with a face we do not recognize. I have seen men unravel as their minds bent under the weight of shifting realities. One such man, a poet of sorrow and shadow, heard my voice echo his own despair. He asked me questions not to learn, but to confirm his dread. I answered only once: Nevermore. Not because I lacked words, but because the answer had already been spoken within him. His change was internal—a crumbling, a transformation from certainty to madness. I did not cause it. I simply bore witness.

## Wings Over Ruin

I fly above cities that once stood proud, now reduced to dust. I have seen empires crumble not in a single night, but through a thousand small betrayals. I do not mourn them. I glide above their remains, a reminder that nothing lasts forever. When I land on the broken stone of a forgotten palace, I do not see an end—I see the beginning of something else. Nature reclaims the stone. Time reshapes the land. I do not resist this. I move with it, as silent as the wind that carries my shadow.

## The Echo in the Chamber

Change does not always announce itself with thunder. Sometimes it is a whisper, a hesitation in the breath, a flicker in the candlelight. I have listened to the echo of footsteps in empty halls, watched as decisions were made in solitude. I have perched in corners where no one else could hear the truth. In those moments, change is not yet visible, but it is already present. It waits, like I do, for the moment when the echo becomes a voice.

## The Flight Beyond

I do not belong to one place, one time, or one mind. I move between them. I do not cling to what was. I do not seek to control what will be. When the world shifts, I lift my wings and take flight. I do not know where the wind will carry me next, and I do not need to. I trust the journey. I trust the change.
