When Anakin Skywalker Met Lord Voldemort: A Clash of Fallen Stars

They meet in the ruins of a forgotten temple, somewhere between dimensions — a place where the boundaries of fate and magic have long since crumbled. The sky pulses with unnatural light, and the wind carries whispers of ancient power. Anakin Skywalker, once the Chosen One, now Darth Vader, stands in the shadow of a broken archway, his breathing steady, mechanical. Across from him, cloaked in black, Lord Voldemort glides forward, his serpentine features unreadable. Neither speaks at first. They are two legends shaped by ruin, standing in a world that no longer belongs to them.

Darth Vader: You wear your fear like armor, Tom Riddle.

Lord Voldemort: And you wear your past like a shroud, Anakin Skywalker.

Darth Vader: I am no longer that name.

Lord Voldemort: No. You buried him under steel and lies. But names have power. You know that better than most.

Darth Vader: I know that power without purpose is noise.

Lord Voldemort: Ah, purpose. That is the illusion we tell ourselves to sleep at night. Tell me, Lord Vader, what was your purpose?

Darth Vader: To save those I loved.

Lord Voldemort: And yet, you lost them.

Darth Vader: I did.

Lord Voldemort: Then your purpose was a failure. As mine was never to lose. I would rather rip the soul from my body than feel the sting of loss again.

Darth Vader: You fear death.

Lord Voldemort: I fear nothing. But I respect the finality of death. That is why I defy it.

Darth Vader: I once believed I could defy fate. That I could bend it to my will.

Lord Voldemort: And now?

Darth Vader: Now I know that even the strongest will is broken by time.

Lord Voldemort: Then you are a fool. Power is the only truth. Death is the only enemy. You gave in to it. I conquered it.

Darth Vader: You split your soul to cheat death. What remains of you?

Lord Voldemort: Enough.

Darth Vader: Enough for what? To rule over ashes?

Lord Voldemort: Better ashes than oblivion.

Darth Vader: You were afraid. That’s why you became what you are.

Lord Voldemort: And you were not?

Darth Vader: I was afraid of losing the one I loved. So I chose power to prevent it. I thought I could save her.

Lord Voldemort: And did you?

Darth Vader: No. I killed her.

Lord Voldemort: Then you understand the cost.

Darth Vader: I do. But I also understand that power without restraint is destruction.

Lord Voldemort: Restraint? That is for the weak. I rose from nothing. I carved my destiny with my own hands.

Darth Vader: And how many did you destroy to do it?

Lord Voldemort: The weak are destroyed. That is the law of strength.

Darth Vader: Strength without honor is nothing.

Lord Voldemort: Honor? You speak of honor while wearing a mask to hide the man you once were?

Darth Vader: I wear this mask because I let fear guide me. I became what I was meant to destroy.

Lord Voldemort: And yet, you still serve a greater power.

Darth Vader: Not by choice. By fate.

Lord Voldemort: Fate is for those who cannot shape their own path.

Darth Vader: Or perhaps, for those who tried and failed.

Lord Voldemort: You speak like a man who has given up.

Darth Vader: I speak like a man who has learned.

Lord Voldemort: Then tell me, Anakin Skywalker — if you could go back, would you still choose power?

Darth Vader: No.

Lord Voldemort: Would you choose love?

Darth Vader: I did. That is what destroyed me.

Lord Voldemort: Then love is weakness.

Darth Vader: Or it is the only strength that matters.

Lord Voldemort: Then you are a fool. And I am the future.

Darth Vader: No. You are the past. A shadow of what could have been.

Lord Voldemort: And you? What are you now?

Darth Vader: I am what remains when everything else is gone.

Lord Voldemort: Then we are not so different.

Darth Vader: We are. You clung to power. I let it go.

Lord Voldemort: Then you are already dead.

Darth Vader: Perhaps. But I am free.

Lord Voldemort: Freedom is an illusion.

Darth Vader: Then you will never understand what it means to truly live.

The wind rises, swirling dust and shadow between them. For a moment, neither moves. Then Voldemort turns, his cloak sweeping behind him like a wave of darkness. Vader stands still, watching as the other disappears into the storm.
