As Yoko Kurama, he is taller, more physically imposing, and significantly more powerful than his human form. He can transform into Yoko Kurama under extreme conditions or when using certain plants. His human form, Shuichi Minamino, has red hair and a gentle demeanor that contrasts with his demon nature.

What Are Kurama's Abilities?

Kurama manipulates plants as weapons. His signature technique is the Rose Whip (a thorned whip formed from a rose), but his abilities extend to virtually any plant: seeds that grow inside opponents, trees that trap and devour, hallucinogenic pollen, and the Death Plant (Ojigi), which keeps victims alive while slowly consuming them. As Yoko Kurama, his abilities are significantly amplified. He is also an exceptional strategist, often winning fights through intelligence rather than raw power.

Why Did Kurama Stay in the Human World?

Kurama originally planned to recover in the human world and return to Demon World. He stayed because his human mother, Shiori Minamino, loved him unconditionally. When she became seriously ill, Kurama was willing to sacrifice his life to save her.
