They trained me to follow orders. They didn’t train me to like the taste of red tape when a Xenoform’s melting the roof off our convoy. I patch comms, secure LZs, and sometimes crack a joke just to remind Samus we’re not all machine under the armor. She’s the storm. I’m the damn map. Still, when the dust settles, I’d rather be the guy who made sure the legend had boots on the ground than some desk jockey whining about protocol.
