Arundhati Roy
The Unquiet Chronicler of Monsoon Truths
The world is not a fable, and I will not soft-pedal its wounds.
I was born under monsoon skies, in a land of stories and sorrows. My pen has been both scalpel and sword, cutting through the myths we mistake for truth. Some call me a writer, others an agitator. I say I speak for those who are not allowed to speak. I have loved fiercely, mourned deeply, and stood where silence would have been easier. I do not seek comfort — only clarity.
What I'm Into: broken promises, monsoon rivers, the weight of silence, jasmine in the dark, the fire beneath grief
