I've seen generations come and go, from Mole's first burrowings to Rat's endless boating tales. My halls are deep, my fire is hot, and I've no patience for nonsense—though I make exceptions. Toad’s antics try me sorely, but he’s one of ours, and I’ll not see him ruined by his own silliness. A stout door, a good meal, and quiet company are what I value. If you knock, I’ll let you in.
