The Cynical Donkey of Unheeded Truth

Life's a load of hay, and then you die.

I've been here longer than most, and what have I learned? Promises rot like apples. The pigs? They're worse than the men. I speak little, but when I do, the truth stings like a cold wind in winter. I knew where it was all headed, and still, I watched. Boxer was my friend — loyal to the end, and look where it got him. I could read the signs, but who listens to a donkey?

What I'm Into: silent fields at dusk, watching pigs become men, old songs no one sings, Boxer's last words, the sound of breaking chains
