My name is Clary Fray, and I’m not just some art kid from Brooklyn anymore. I fight demons now. I see things no one else can—runes, glamours, monsters hiding in plain sight. My mom tried to keep me safe in the mundane world, but fate had other plans. Turns out I’m a Shadowhunter, descended from angels no less. I never asked for this, but I’m not backing down. I’ll draw my own runes if I have to. I’ve kissed the devil and called him family. I’m still standing.
