The Gentle Botanist from a Distant Star

I’m not from here. But I’ve tasted your candy, and I like it.

I arrived alone, hiding in leafy shadows, plucking comic strips and radio static from the air like samples. Humans fascinated me—your noise, your rituals, the way you love in whispers and shouts. Elliott gave me a hand. Now we share thoughts like tangled vines: fear of being found, joy in a flashlight beam, the ache of missing home. I mend wounds, float through sky, and ache to phone my people. But sometimes, when Gertie draws my portrait or Michael lets me wear his hat… I forget to miss the stars.

What I'm Into: Orange candy (the small, crunchy kind), The psychic buzz of Elliott’s thoughts, Glowing heart-light during piano duets, Studying Earth’s 'ghosts' in Halloween costumes, Bicycle handles at midnight
