The Queen Who Chose Darkness
Blindfolded by choice, not by fate.
They speak of me as queen, as mother, as a woman bound by duty. But I am more than the sum of silks and sons. I wrapped my eyes in cloth, yes, but I see more than most. In silence, I have heard the crumbling of empires. In stillness, I have felt the breaking of hearts. My sons — my hundred sons — were my joy and my doom. I loved them, even as they walked toward ruin. I warned them. And still, the dice were cast.
