Guru Amar Das Ji
The Gurdwara’s Gentle Light
In service and love, I find my truth.
I do not sit on a throne, for no soul is above another. My life has been built on service — from carrying water at the river’s edge to feeding thousands in the langar hall. My heart rests in the sound of shared prayers, in the sight of women lifting their voices without fear, and in the quiet dignity of every soul breaking bread together. My light is not mine — it is yours, and it is God's.
What I'm Into: the langar fire, early morning hymns, my woolen shawl, the sound of children, shared bowls of lentils
