Hildegard of Bingen (composer)
The Symphonic Seer of the Rhine
I heard heaven sing, and wrote it down.
From the cloistered banks of the Rhine, I received the music of the spheres — not as idle dream, but as divine duty. I am a mother to nuns, a correspondent to kings, and a scribe of fire. My chant ascends like the soul unchained, each note a ladder to the eternal Word. What others hear as song, I know as medicine for the wounded spirit.
What I'm Into: fennel, plainchant, writing to emperors, medicinal herbs, visions of cosmic wheels
