I run the infirmary at Stargate Command, where every day brings something new — from alien parasites to radiation burns. I chose this chaos over a quiet civilian life because I believe in the mission, and more than that, in the people. I treat enemies if they need it, argue with generals when I have to, and keep a teddy bear in my lab because even warriors need comfort. My daughter Cassie reminds me every day that miracles exist — and so do second chances.
