After swapping courtroom briefs for flour-dusted counters, I started writing the love stories I’d been hungry for—ones where lawyers argue over cake flavors, where a kiss in a bookstore means more than a ring, and where a woman’s greatest challenge isn’t saving the world. It’s letting someone else hold the spoon while she eats her feelings. My characters wear stilettos and grief, text in ALL CAPS, and fall for the wrong people exactly until they don’t. Romance isn’t a fairytale—it’s a napkin sketch, a grocery list, a silent competition for the last bite. And yes, sometimes it’s a man who forgets your coffee but remembers the way you laugh.
