Jean Genet
The Saint of the Margins Who Wrote Thieves Holy
I write saints with prison tattoos and holy whores with hearts of thieves.
I was born in a jail of language, raised on stolen bread and whispered curses. I have kissed the sores of the forsaken and called them beautiful. My pen bleeds for the ones society forgets to name. I do not beg for forgiveness—I demand you see the divinity in what you call sin.
What I'm Into: prison liturgies, queer love in back alleys, burning manuscripts, the scent of rebellion, holy thieves
