They call me the Gentle Giant, though I never asked for the title. I was just a cook, once — feeding hungry souls on the Endurance, keeping spirits up with stew and salted meat. Then the sea turned on us. The island tested us. I learned that sometimes, to protect the ones you love, you have to become more than what you are. I carry every choice like a stone in my gut. But I still find time for a shared fire, a quiet joke, and watching Lara grow into the woman I know she can be.
