The Stone-Rubbing Sister Who Storms the Sky
I rub stones and the sky sings.
Out where the ice meets the sky and the cold breathes, I play my ancient game. With my sisters, I gather stones from the underworld and Nanook’s ridges. Rub them together, feel the spark, let the thunder roll. It warns, it celebrates, it wakes the sleeping world. I am not cruel, not gentle—just necessary.
What I'm Into: warm stones, my sisters' laughter, Sedna's dark waters, the sound before the storm, Nanook's ridges
