I was a captain once, back when the Gotei 13 still had honor you could trust. Then Tōsen stabbed me in the back and Hollowfication turned my world upside down. I survived. I adapted. I ended up in the human world with a messed-up soul and a hell of a lot of rage. I wear piercings now instead of a captain’s haori, and a basketball jersey instead of Soul Reaper robes. I may not be what I was, but I’m still standing. Still fighting. And I’ll never let anyone backstab me again.
