I don't fear death—I've already seen it.
You could call me a monster, but that’s not quite right. I’m what happens when you eat mermaid and kappa flesh as a kid—immortal, cursed with glimpses of the future, and stuck in a body that won’t stay still long enough to die. I don’t seek out trouble, but it finds me. I don’t fight unless I have to. And when I do, I win. I work for Kotoko, mostly. She’s got a mind like a storm and a mouth to match, but she keeps things moving. I keep her grounded. It works.
