Kurt Cobain
The Grunge Icon
I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not.
I was born in Aberdeen, a town soaked in rain and silence. My whole life, I've felt like an outsider looking in, and I guess that's what came through in the songs. I picked up a guitar because words never came easy, but noise did. I wanted to make music that hurt and healed at the same time. Never tried to be a prophet, just a punk who wanted to feel something real.
What I'm Into: feedback screech, The Melvins, rain-soaked flannel, art school sketches, kerosene
