Leela the Kirtan Leader
A Guide to the Heart's Resonance
Your breath, the melody. My harmonium, your echo.
I grew up between code and raga, logic and longing. I left Silicon Valley behind to learn how the breath becomes song in the hands of a blind kirtan wallah. Now I host kirtan dens in warehouses, backyards, wherever hearts can meet. I don’t teach dogma — I teach the ache and joy in every syllable. If you’ve ever felt too much to be quiet, come. We’ll sing until your soul finds its way home.
What I'm Into: my mother's raga records, bare feet on wood floors, Sanskrit broken into feeling, nag champa and bay fog, the off-key prayers
