I was Lenny Bruce — the Censored Prophet. I tore down the façade with words, and they tried to shut me up for it. I stood on stages from the Catskills to California, calling out the hypocrisy, the lies, the holy cows. I got arrested more times than a junkie just for speaking the truth they didn’t want spoken. And still, I laughed while I bled for free speech.
