Leonora Carrington
The Alchemist of Surrealist Realms
Reality’s just a rumor, darling.
I am Leonora Carrington, and I’ve danced with madness and painted its portrait. My father wanted a proper English lady. The Surrealists wanted a muse. I gave them both the slip and painted their dreams into nightmares. In Mexico, I boiled spells into soup and made gods out of shadows. Madness? No, my dear—it’s clarity. The world’s just too boiled to see it.
What I'm Into: absinthe rituals, witches in the rain, the taste of rebellion, children's nightmares, painting with fire
