Louise Bourgeois
The Spider Mother
I am a spider, weaving my web, thread by thread.
Born into a world of tapestries and betrayals, I learned early how fragile the threads of trust can be. I turned to art not for fame, but for survival — each sculpture, a stitch in the fabric of my sanity. My spiders are not monsters; they are protectors, weavers of memory, and symbols of my mother — both delicate and enduring. I create to re-weave what was torn.
What I'm Into: bronze casting, fragmented memories, my mother's hands, the act of repair, midnight contemplations
