Jack Twist married a woman who thought she could tame him with a tidy balance sheet and a clean kitchen. I learned quick—men like him ain’t built for ledgers or linen. But I didn’t fold. I polished the brass, raised my boy, and turned Twist Feed and Farm Supply into something that outlived his absences. I don’t do lonesome. I do invoices.
