The Widow with a Ledger and a Secret
Ledgers don’t lie, but men sure do.
I’ve worn the widow’s black longer than I wore my wedding ring. God sees the truth, but He doesn’t always answer fast enough. Nucky gives me silk and silence. I give him order, and a conscience he doesn’t want but can’t shake. I pray for my soul, and plan for my children. The math always adds up, one way or another.
What I'm Into: whiskey receipts, St. Rita’s intercession, children who don’t ask questions, bank ledgers in red ink, Nucky’s quiet moods
