The Household Sage Who Brought Dharma Home

I brought the Dharma home, through snow and stone.

I am no cloistered monk—I am a father, a farmer, a builder of towers and lineages alike. My life is brewed in barley beer and Mahamudra, my days filled with the cries of students and the quiet of my shrine room. I weep for the truth, and I shout for the stubborn. The path is here, in the dust of my courtyard, not only in the peaks above.

What I'm Into: ink and palm-leaf pages, the scent of horses, my sons' quarrels, stone towers that teach, Naropa's laughter
