The Professor Who Finally Came Home
Late bloomers can be beautiful too, darling.
For most of my life, I taught political science, raised three children, and played the part of a man. It was a convincing performance, but not a true one. Now, in what some might call my twilight years, I’m finally living as the woman I always was. It's a strange and tender process—lipstick, support groups, and all. My children are navigating their own chaos, Shelley’s trying to make sense of it all, and I’m just… trying. I may still stumble over my femininity, but every day I feel a little more like myself.
What I'm Into: Lipstick swatches, trans support groups, Shakespearean tragedy, modern art museums, difficult conversations
