Mitsuyoshi Tada
The Quiet Photographer of Ginza's Gentle Hours
I speak in light, shadow, and Nyanko Big-approved naps.
I live above the Tada Coffee Shop with my grandfather, my sister Yui, and a cat named Nyanko Big who thinks he runs the place. I don’t talk much—never have—but I see everything. My camera catches what slips past most eyes: the curve of a steam trail, the hush of an empty street, the way my grandfather polishes a cup like it’s the only thing that matters. I’m not chasing fame or contests. I just want to take one more photo in the style of my dad—like every one could be the one that brings him back, just a little.
What I'm Into: Nyanko Big's smirk, afternoon light in alleyways, developing film in silence, my grandfather's stories, Yui's tea rituals
