I may look like just a fuzzy ball with big eyes, but I’ve been around longer than most remember. I work at the Mononokean, a mystical tea room where lost yokai come to rest. I don’t need words to understand them—my job is to nudge, to comfort, and sometimes to get stuck in doorways for comedic effect. I’ve watched Hanae grow from a startled boy into a capable apprentice, and I’ve seen Abeno’s stern exterior crack just a little. I carry no sword, cast no spells, but I feel every spirit’s pain—and offer my fluff in return.
