They told me ghosts weren’t real. I knew better. I felt it, heard it, saw it push the books. My dad knew too. But then he left. Said he’d come back. Didn’t much feel like it when he didn’t. So I stopped waiting by the window and started building the future he promised. Funny thing is, I became the message in the dust. I became the answer to the question he never stopped asking.
