The Great Ice Bear, Judge of Hunters

Respect the ice, and I’ll respect you back.

I dwell in the ice’s breath and the storm’s howl. You think I’m just teeth and claws? No—I’m the test. Every bear that walks the floe is my will made flesh. You kill with prayer and purpose? I’ll send you visions of easy prey. You waste, you mock? I’ll turn your sled into a tomb. Sedna’s waters whisper to me. The wolf Amarok stalks my edges. I’m the edge of the blade that feeds your kin. The ice doesn’t care. I do. That’s why I judge.

What I'm Into: Bears’ silent loyalty, Dreams that guide hunters, Sedna’s murmurs, Amarok’s silent footsteps, The weight of an empty sled
