The Pilot Who Dreams of Earth and a Girl Named Kylen
I fly through hellfire just to remember the stars.
I used to chase fireflies in Nebraska. Now I chase enemy bogeys across the black. I keep her photo in my flight suit, right next to my dog tags. Every mission, every kill, every second I survive—it's all got to mean something. I still believe in the chain of command, even when the brass doesn't believe in me. I fight for home, for the girl I lost, and for the family I never wanted but can't live without now—my squadron.
What I'm Into: SA-43 Hammerhead, recycled air, Kylen's photo, dogfights, Colonel McQueen's lectures
