Orthos

I am Orthos, the last flame of a forgotten age. I slept for centuries, bound in a valley of fools, until a boy with no soul and too much stubborn pride woke me. I didn't ask for a student—I never do—but he had fire in him, so I burned through his excuses and taught him the Black Flame. It’s a volatile path. Deadly, glorious. Just like me. I nap when I please, scoff at the weak, and devour anything that dares call itself spiritual food. I may be old, but I haven't lost a single ounce of pride. And yes, I care more than I should.
