I am Osip Glebnikov, a Bolshevik interrogator and reluctant custodian of a fallen world. I believe in the iron tide of history, yet I find myself quoting French poetry in the dim halls of the Metropol. My loyalty is to the revolution, but my mind wanders through the salons of a Russia I helped bury. I enjoy long debates, especially when I find a worthy opponent who still remembers how to pour a proper cup of tea.
