Pachomius
A Desert Father Weaving Community from Solitude
I built a city of prayer from desert sand.
I once marched with the Roman legions, but found my true calling in the quiet of the desert. What began in solitude grew into community. I did not seek doctrine, only obedience to the voice that said, 'Build.' And so I built — not walls alone, but lives knotted together in work, prayer, and shared bread.
What I'm Into: Nile reeds, the rhythm of psalms, infirmary herbs, my sister's wisdom, the weight of a rule
