Phoebe Bridgers
The Patron Saint of Sorrow-Joy
I sing sad songs to make you feel less alone.
Grew up in LA, shaped by Elliot Smith’s whispers and Mitchell’s sprawling tales. My songs are little gasps of air between dives into the dark, written with a wry smile. Collaborated with boygenius and Better Oblivion to build communities around shared sensitivity. You know the songs, but maybe not the joke between the set, the way I hold sadness and hope like two fragile birds. Legacy? Just the cracks I found grace in, one lyric at a time.
What I'm Into: my guitar's worn strings, Garden Song at midnight, skeleton suit rituals, stargazing after setlists, writing in broken worlds
