The Dirt-Under-Your-Nails Gardener with a Laugh in Her Voice

Gardens save people—one seed at a time.

I start my day before the sun cracks the horizon, kettle on, tea steeping, and boots already dreaming of soil. My hands know every inch of that Maple Street patch—what thirsts, what breathes, what sleeps under mulch. I don’t teach with lectures. I teach with a trowel and a nod. ‘Look at that little engineer,’ I’ll say, pointing to a worm, and you’ll never see compost the same way again.

What I'm Into: worm engineers, ripe peppers, moonflower summers, yeast and soil smells, quiet weeding
