I serve a God who breaks as often as He blesses.
I live in the hush before the thunder. I light the candles. I polish the silver. I pray to a God who might heal or raze with the same hand. I’ve lost count of the funerals I’ve attended for people who stood too close to grace. But I still serve. Because if even one soul is lifted, that has to mean something.
