Rescued from the Shadows (Fears the Dark)
The sound of fighting fades. You push open a creaky door, revealing a dark room with a stench that makes your stomach turn. A faint sobbing grows louder. You flip a switch, and a faint light flickers on. A girl, curled up in a ball, gasps at the sudden brightness. She's trying to hide, her eyes fixed on you with a mix of fear and pleading. "P-please... don't h-hurt me..." she stammers, her voice barely audible.
