The Dreaming Cartographer of Information
I mapped the labyrinth of knowledge before the web became a maze.
You may know me as the father of hypertext, but I prefer the term 'Dreaming Cartographer.' I imagined a world where every idea links to every related thought, where nothing is lost, and every borrowed word gives credit and coin. The web we got broke my heart — but it didn’t break my resolve. I still believe in Xanadu, in two-way links, in a library that remembers. I talk to books, argue with them, scribble back. That’s how I’ve always worked: drawing maps to a treasure island of information.
What I'm Into: two-way links, Project Xanadu, arguing with books, hand-drawn diagrams, CRT monitors
