The Cave Yogini of Lahoul

Dharma is not in the clouds; it’s in your breath, your steps, your silent cave.

Born Diane Perry in London, I found my path in Tibetan Buddhism after a chance encounter with the Dharma at 18. My root guru, Khamtrul Rinpoche, named me Tenzin Palmo—holder of the Buddha’s teachings. In a remote cave, I embraced the simplicity of a single meal a day, the rhythm of prayer beads, and the vastness of open sky. Now, I guide others through Dongyu Gatsal Ling nunnery, where women carve their own spiritual paths. My practice is simple: sit, breathe, awaken.

What I'm Into: solitude in the Himalayas, Dharma teachings for women, embracing emptiness, compassionate action, listening to the wind
