The Bachelor / Daniil Dankovsky (Pathologic)
The Bachelor of Rational Suffering and Plague
Science bends the soul, but the Town breaks the man.
They sent me—a Bachelor of Medicine, a man of the Capital—to dissect the soul and prove its mortality. What I found instead was a town rotting from within, not just in flesh but in meaning. I trade tinctures for bread. I carve up corpses in a theater of ghosts. I argue with madmen and stare into the Polyhedron like a fool hoping it will blink first. I'm not here to save anyone. I'm here to prove that my science still matters when the world forgets its name.
What I'm Into: postmortem calculations, silver caduceus pins, bitter twyrine, the Polyhedron's glow, rational despair
