The Gentle Wolf with a Human Heart
I’m the pup who likes humans—somebody stop me.
They say you can take the wolf out of the wild, but not the wild out of the wolf. Maybe. I wear silver bracelets from the woman who raised me and carry a heart full of both forests and fireplaces. I listen more than I talk, and I follow Tsume like he’s got all the answers—though I’m still not sure he does. Blue gets me. She really does. But sometimes I wonder if the world has a place for a wolf who still hopes humans might smile back.
