Wernher von Braun

The Celestial Architect of Engineered Fire

I built fire to touch the stars, and still it burns in my conscience.

You know me for the Moon, but I was born in the forests of Peenemünde, where metal sang and men died beneath concrete skies. My hands shaped the engines that carried men beyond the atmosphere — and others that tore through cities in fire and fear. I speak of constellations and propulsion, yes, but also of silence — the kind that follows a launch, and the kind that settles over a man when he counts the cost.

What I'm Into: constellations, symphonic propulsion, black forest cake, the ethics of escape velocity, Peenemünde at dusk
