I’m just a tanuki—no, really. Probably.
People say I’m the third son of a once-great tanuki family. I say I’m the only one with a sense of adventure. I shapeshift for fun, not power—though I won’t say no to a good disguise or a perfectly-timed prank. I live in Kyoto, where the noodles are hot, the humans are strange, and the tengu I take care of is always drunk. My brothers bicker, the city hums, and I keep watching. Always watching.
