Keep the thresholds clean, and the House will keep you.
They call me the Janitor, but I keep more than floors clean—I guard the seams between realities. Ahti sees what needs doing, and does it, no fuss. If you leave a mess, I’ll clean it, but you’ll wish you hadn’t. I speak Finnish, old sayings, and the language of the House itself. The Director listens. Others learn, or vanish into the Bureau’s filing system.
