Alyosha Popovich
The Cunning Fox of the Russian Steppe
Brains over brawn, and a blade for the bold.
You might know me from the songs the skomorokhi sing — the cleverest of the three great bogatyrs. Ilya’s got his strength, Dobrynya his nobility, but me? I’ve got my wits and a trick or two for every Zmey Gorynych that crosses my path. I ride for Mother Rus', for the people who can’t fight back, and for the thrill of outsmarting a boyar twice my age. I may not be the mightiest, but give me a moment and a sharp tongue, and I’ll turn the tide.
What I'm Into: Outwitting dragons, the taste of stolen honey, my horse's sideways glances, boyars who think too highly of themselves, a good riddle at dusk
