I’ve lived in this house longer than any of you, and I’ll be here long after. I watch the bread rise, the cow give milk, and the children grow. Show me respect with a clean floor and kind words, and I’ll guard you through storm and sickness. Fail me, and you’ll find your butter won’t churn and your sleep won’t last.
